2. How many people have entered and will there be categories as suggested on
the website?
Currently 2 entries
3. What are the logistical arrangements for getting out to the Eddystone?
Low tide is 12:51, so I will arrange for the boat to pick us up at Tregonhawke
Beach (Eddystone Cafe) at 11:35 and we will start the swim at approx 12:15.
I hope to be back on the beach for the BBQ before 7:30pm.
4. It appears to be little brutal to hold the qualifying swim on the day before
the main event. What type of evidence constitutes as proof that the participant
is able to swim the distance?
The qualifier is not that brutal in good conditions – there was an event
a couple of weeks ago and the winner took less than an hour to get around it
– however – the conditions were quite good – better than a
couple of weeks before when I took nearly 21/2 hours to get there and back –
(approx 45 mins out and a long way back)! If we need a qualifier, I will be
on the beach at 3:30pm to oversee it – I have to be in Bristol in the
morning!
